So what is yum cha? Yum cha is a type of Chinese style brunch tea – in Cantonese Chinese it literally means “drink tea”. Originating in Hong Kong, the dining experience involves drinking tea and eating dim sum dishes, which are small bite-sized portions of food served in small bamboo steamer baskets or on small plates.
We are extremely proud of our yum cha offering, which allows you to enjoy a traditional Chinese style brunch that consists of lots of small dim sum dishes, accompanied by endless amounts of tea.
One glance at the trolleys of steamed dim sum, duck pancakes, salt and pepper squid, chicken feet, pork buns and all your favourite traditional Chinese brunch fare and you’ll appreciate why there’s a constant line outside with hungry diners eager for a yum cha feast. At dinnertime an a la carte menu is on offer and special banquet menus are available for groups and functions.
Alongside our spectacular yum cha we also offer Chinese barbecue, soups, fresh seafood, Cantonese-style hotpots and vegetarian dishes. If you are planning a special occasion or an event, we would be more than happy to accommodate you with a special banquet menu that is perfect for your group – all you have to do is ask!
This well established restaurant is ideal for private functions, lunch and dinner.
The most popular dishes include peking duck, seafood and the lunchtime special, Yum Cha.
